Bertrand, a French citizen, founded Asia Bio Channel Ltd (ABC Ltd.), now trading under the brand Biowire™, in 2011 to support international Life Sciences companies in developing and executing their go-to-market and channel strategies in the complex and highly competitive Asia-Pacific region. Since founding ABC Ltd, Bertrand has worked with more than 15 companies including manufacturers of research reagents, research lab equipment, molecular diagnostics kits and medical devices connecting them to revenue growth business opportunities in Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle-East.
As ABC Ltd.’s business shifted from an Asia-Pacific focus to a global operation, the company was renamed Biowire and opened operations in Europe to deliver expert and flexible business development solutions in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA) to a broad range of Life Sciences companies seeking accelerated revenue growth in EMEA.

Mark is based in Central Switzerland and has more than 35 years’ experience in business management and executive leadership roles with SME companies as well as global life science, bio- tools and diagnostics corporations including Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Applied Biosystems, Life Technologies (now Thermo Fisher Scientific) and Dako A/s (now Agilent Technologies).
Mark Bloomfield was CEO of Polyplus-transfection S. A. from March 2010 to July 2016, Chairman and Non-Executive Director of BioSilta Ltd from September 2014 to June 2016 and is currently a Non-Executive Director of Omicron Research Ltd (www.omicron-uk.com).
Mark obtained his BSc with honours in Chemistry and Environmental Science from University of Wales Institute of Science & Technology in Cardiff, UK.

Jacob, a Chinese citizen, joined Biowire in 2015 bringing 15 years of professional network and life sciences sales expertise in China to the group. As Biowire Business Director, Jacob is a key actor in Biowire development and provides our clients with solid insights on market trends and executes expedient go-to-market and channel strategy across Greater China.
Prior to joining Biowire, Jacob was a Product Manager at Perkin Elmer with responsibility for the marketing of their nucleic acid purification product lines in Greater China. Jacob led sustained and significant business growth from 2011 to 2015.
From 2008 to 2011, Jacob was the Marketing Manager China for Miltenyi Biotech, a German company developing and commercializing instruments and reagents to facilitate sample preparation. In this role, Jacob was responsible for implementing national marketing initiatives and building out their technical support structure.
Prior to this, Jacob was a Senior Scientist and Head of Research Lab at Sunway Bio for 3 years. Sunway Bio, a Chinese biotech company, develops and commercializes innovative gene therapies.
Jacob holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Shanghai Jiatong University and is the author of several pier-reviewed publications in leading journals focused on crop enhancement and bio-informatics.

Cindy Liu, a China citizen, drives our sales and marketing actions in China for research laboratories, hospital, pharma and CRO targeted products. Cindy brings on-board a solid experience of in technical sales, a great contact network and makes a huge contribution to team spirit that unites Biowire.
Prior to working with Biowire, Cindy held the position of Sales Manager with Hapstar, a major Chinese laboratory equipment manufacturer, who recruited Cindy based on her valuable experience as a Sales Specialist acquired with HuaAn Biotechnology, a significant Chinese antibody supplier.
Prior to Cindy’s 4 years with Hapstar and HuAn gaining experience is technical sales specialist and distribution management experience, Cindy was the Customer Service Supervisor & Product Manager at Boppard, a large distributor of lab reagents in greater China (representing principals such as Wako and Enzo).
Cindy obtained her Bachelor degree from the China University of Mining and Technology in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, with a major in Bio Engineering & Fermentation Engineering and is fluent in English.

Wenlei has more than 11 years of experience in positions such as technical support scientist, product specialist and sales manager with leading distributors in China targeting industrial customers. His activities included promoting products such as bioMérieux microbiological diagnostic instruments and consumables, Each-Reach mTOF and microfluidic PCR machines.
Wenlei obtained his bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from the Southwest University, Mianyan, Sichuan Province.

Guillaume Piquet, a French citizen, joined Biowire in 2017 to support the rapid growth of our business in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Guillaume carries responsibility for the development of our client brands, product portfolio as well as our distribution channel partners’ development and operational management in EMEA. Guillaume also holds global responsibilities for the development of the Geneye brand (www.geneye.com).
Prior to joining Biowire, Guillaume held a variety of marketing leadership roles with Pall Corporation (part of Danaher) where he was responsible for product marketing & new product launches for qPCR instruments, reagent, kits and consumables for the detection of pathogens in applied markets such as food and environmental monitoring.
Prior to Danaher, Guillaume worked in the technical support group and in the R&D team at GeneSystems, a start-up based in Rennes which developed the qPCR technology later acquired by Pall / Danaher.
Guillaume holds an MSc degree in biological engineering from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne, France & the Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada. Guillaume brings us 10 years of deep experience in the development, launch and marketing of life sciences devices, reagents, kits & consumables in complex markets.

Mei was also technical services specialist of Life Science reagent manufacturer PeproTech EC.
Mei holds a PhD in Reproductive Biology from St George’s University of London.
